If you’re hankering to find out how Ghost Recon: Wildlands will play, Ubisoft looks to have you covered. CEO of the publishing giant – Yves Guiillemot – announced today during an earnings call that an open beta is planned for the game in the “next quarter.”
The exact date on this is unclear however. GameSpot did some digging, and reports that Ubisoft’s current financial quarter is in the October-December window. If we’re going by their financial calendar, the “next quarter” could be at the start of 2017.
Guillemot also added that closed betas will be conducted for the open world action game, so players can get a grasp on what the game is about.
"It can be a revolutionary game, and to compare with The Division last year, it's in the same trend actually," Guillemot continued. "We expect in the next quarter to do some open betas and closed betas that will help a lot on the players to actually know what the game is and what it can become. We are very confident it will excite gamers a lot.”
Ghost Recon: Wildlands is set to launch on March 7, 2017.
