Famous comic publisher Dark Horse announced today that it will release two new comics in 2017 for both Mass Effect and Dragon Age – BioWare’s popular RPG franchises, based heavily around choice-and-consequence. All dates in this article are US release windows.
The first release – Mass Effect: Discovery – is slated for spring 2017. The story will be written by Andromeda’s creative director Mac Walters, and lead writer John Dombrow. Jeremy Barlow will also add his talents, having previously written the Mass Effect: Foundation comic. Gabriel Guzman will be artist for the project.
For those more interested in fantasy than sci-fi, Dragon Age: Knight Errant will launch on May 10 of next year. The run will last for several issues, with Nunzio DeFillippis and Christina Weird to write, and art provided by Fernando Heinz Furukawa and Sachin Teng (covers).
Products outside of comics will also be released. Dragon Age will be getting an adult colouring book on sale Feburary 8 2017, with Mass Effect to get its own later on March 1, 2017. A Mass Effect: Andromeda art book will also be made available on March 21, 2017, and a poster collection will soon follow in autumn.
