Supposed PS4 Slim Images Leak

Supposed PS4 Slim Images Leak

Images of a PlayStation 4 slim model appeared to have leaked online via a UK auction site. While their legitimacy has yet to be confirmed, the physical appearance of the console and the packaging look quite convincing. A British seller claims to have obtained the system before its announcement, and is pricing it at £295.

It’s a standard course of action for Sony to create smaller, slimmer models of their current hardware. The PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 saw similar treatments over their lifespan. Note that the packaging of this simply says “PS4,” implying that this won’t be Sony’s highly rumoured Neo – a more powerful version of their current console. This looks more akin to Microsoft’s recent Xbox One S.

The Neo is expected to surface at a media event on September 7.

Sony have yet to comment on the system. We’ll keep you updated when they do.

If that was the neo I'd be disappointed. 500gbs? I winner how he got it, cause that looks all kinds of dodgy.

Looks like they missed the 'point'! You know cause it's rounded? I'll show myself out.

I always take these types of articles with "a grain of salt" but it is an elaborate ruse if it is fake.

I prefer the look of the original PS4 console: The indicator light that intersects the length of the console makes it look more unique - this console looks like a giant Apple TV

Nah, tis a fake, those eject buttons are in the wrong place. Chubby fingers could get them and the disc would hit you.

Looks identical apart from the rounded edges, and what's up with the 500GB HD? You would expect they should have realised now that 500GB just doesn't cut it anymore, especially when over 100GB of that is taken up already by the system software.

Definitely quite a bit smaller if they scale of controller:console is 1:1 on the box. Maybe 70% of the size of the original.
To those that think this is the NEO, i highly doubt it, more likely the PS4 Slim.
Neo will probably be the size of the original, and yeah will surely come with 1TB minimum (you'd hope).

Don't forget the original PS, the PSP and the Vita all had smaller, lighter "slim" versions too.. ;)

There's still an Xbox one s 500gb model, so a slim ps4 probably won't be any different.
