Pokémon Go Player Accidentally Drives in to Cop Car

An enthusiastic Pokémon Go player crashed his car in to the back of Baltimore Police vehicle. A video was uploaded by the American police department to Twitter, showcasing the dangers of driving while distracted.

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the minor collision. The driver even admitted to his mistake right away.

I’m sure all our intelligent NZGamer.com readers don’t need the warning, but it still goes without saying: don’t Pokémon Go and drive.

Im also surprised that there have been on deaths yet with either people walking into traffic, distracted when driving or being lured in to ambush by criminal and being killed. I don't want there to be deaths but i know that there is a good chance that it could happen.

Our boy Undead here has commented about expecting death reports on every PokeGo article since release. I think the term is sadist.

Just a prank bruh, not a sadist.

There will be death, it's inevitable. It's funny how easily someone can "zone out" of their surroundings when distracted from driving. If someone can't see he's coming up on a police car with three officers standing around chatting, you have to be amazed that there haven't been deaths attributed to it yet.

I think it is highly likely that someone will either be killed by a train or by a vehicle within 7 days of the Japanese release. So congested, narrow single lane roads especially in residential areas; a real risk. Not to mention all the cyclists sharing the sidewalk with pedestrians. Wouldn't be surprised if smart phone companies need to implement technology that prevents certain operations/apps if the phone detects people are moving and looking at the screen simultaneously.
