Getting Started With myNZGamer

Welcome to myNZGamer, your own personal slice of this website.

If you’re interested in what it can do, and want to make full use of this great new future, then you’ve come to the right place.

The first step to take is logging in, or registering at the NZGamer forums if you have not yet done so. If you are not a forum member, just click the ‘Forums’ button and choose ‘Register’ to create an account. Once this has been set up, you will now be able to log in to your own myNZGamer account on the main page - simply type in your username and password into the login box in the top right corner of the site, and click on ‘Log In’.

Once you are logged in, you will be presented with a number of options. Here is a breakdown of everything you can click on:



my Profile: This takes you to your main profile page. From here, you can view all the information about yourself that is available for other gamers to see. To edit the information, just click on ‘Settings’ in the myNZGamer profile box.

my Collection: Want to show off your games collection? This is the place to do it. Essentially, any game on our huge database can be added to your collection. To add a game, all you need to do is visit the information page of a particular game, choose the platform it's on via the coloured links – or just find an article about it – and click on the ‘Add to Collection’ button. Easy.



my Wishlist: This works in much the same way as your Collection, only it’s for games that you want to have rather than for ones you actually own. Again, just find an appropriate article or game hub and click ‘Add to Wishlist,’ and whatever you chose will appear on your Wishlist.





When you click on the games in your Collections and Wishlists, you will be taken to the appropriate game hub. From here, you can view all the information NZGamer has on the game you are looking at, including all relevant news, previews and reviews.

my Reviews: Not happy with the score we gave for a game? Or do you just want to voice your own opinions? Have your say with your own custom reviews. To add a review, simply find the appropriate page (either a preview/review of the game, or its actual game hub) and click on ‘Write Review’. From here you will be taken to a page that lets you write an opening blurb and your actual review underneath. Once you have written it and given the game a score out of 10, just click ‘Submit Review’. The review will then be checked over by our staff; once it has been approved, it will appear in your review section, as well as in the game hub of the game itself.





You are also able to click the ‘View myNZGamer’ in the myNZGamer toolbox to view your myNZGamer pages as other users will be able to. Copy the address from the address bar and tell all your friends about your own dedicated section of NZGamer.com!
