I really like playing W3 and DOTA, I find it awesome fun but unfortunately I kinda suck and Ive accepted the fact Ill never ever ever ever be Ginsu(?) or Pro.
Its really cool when I find people who don't loose it too badly and just have a little fun but not so cool when people get really serious and call down every curse on me, my family and my douche mother, or "Jeremy styles" tell me to uninstall the game XD. So I do try and let people know before a game that Im not very good.
Its really hard to find people to play with sometimes and impossible to get any of my friends to play, they just dont get it and wont even try one game.
So a plea to all you awesome gamers, take pity on us that have no uber micro or macro (which I find weird since girls are supposed to be great at multi-tasking, so why do I suck so bad? :3) and spare us a game every now and then xD.

Not the most awesome blog, however a great topic, while I like kicking some tail online, I get taken to school and then people are like, 'you got owned!'. Sorry but I have a life outside of gaming and I can't rack up 100+ hrs on Halo 3.
Meh, ok blog. Being an expereienced gamer, the joy of owning a noob never wears off, it's just something that "noobs" have to get used to untill they eventually get better at the game. We've all been there and we have all had the abuse that comes with sucking, it's not nice but it is a core part of gameing =

Yeah i usually play DOTA bout once a week or two at my local cafe. I'm not the best or worst there but we all get along and no-one has a hernia if I pop my ulty at the wrong time or get first blooded.
I've got no problem with people taking the piss outta me when some owns me.
But online DOTA players take it one step too far and kick you and refuse you games later on.
It's not like I play on the pro games or anything. So some days they should shut the f**k up or just pass some advice on instead of being complete jack asses about it. DOTA has a steep learning curve. I know builds for most chars but I still struggle to play some of the int chars

I don't even know if I'm an awesome gamer or not. Multiplayer never really seems to happen much anymore.
The more hardcore, super-excellent players tend to be on older games, like WC3 or CS:S, mainly due to the fact they've been around longer so people who've had them from the start have had more practise. That's the main reason I don't play WC3 or CS:S online, you need to play them to learn how to play well, but if you play them online you're liable to get a beating.

I am pretty good at picking up a game and doing well but I feel for ya. Alot of people in online land think they are actually the characters they are playing as, it is really kind of weird.
I dont shout or curse if people fail dismally at a game but I do tend to laugh which can sometimes almost be worse. I don't do it on purpose or anything, I can' help myself but it pretty much shatters the fragile male ego.

Tbh, Killzone 2 online is soo easy if you play with people that are your rank. If the game had the same xp rate as COD:WAW then people could max in days.

In all honesty pwning n00bs, is one of my favorite pass times. However that being said there is often the times when i play many a game and have my ass ripped off and handed to me on a silver platter, so yeah i understand.

Ok, so if you start off crap at a game then get awesome, does that make you better than someone who has ever only played the game once and is good but never plays it again? So is it natural talent that matters...
Also I'm good at a lot of fighting games (not amazing but I hold my own) same deal with shooters, but I suck at RTS. Does that mean I suck? or does that make me ok...

My gf plays CoD4 on Xbox Live all the time.
She's not the best but she's addicted. I sit there constantly cursing and getting eachother frustrated due to various reasons.
She recently told me that she doesn't like playing sometimes because people see her score and talk a whole lotta crap online haha
Tell her to take the headset out but she likes listening to people talk crap haha Weird huh

It doesnt matter if you win or lose as long as you have fun doing it.... I think thats the main thing

I use to be the best at DotA out of the circle of my friends which was nice but if I played against anyone who really actually played the game they'd wipe the floor with me.

Games like the modern Warfare series and others have leaderboards that tell you your hit accuracy and score, wins etc, I use these percentages and I tend to judge people skills by this system or rankings, we can all get our asses handed to us sometimes, but that can come down to ping most the time so don't hang your self up about it
I never been that great at PC based games, so I see where you are coming from, iv'e bought maybe 60 plus Playstation 3 titles since it's release and I am by far from becoming pro at all of them, probably have 10 or more titles that I own at but that has been because of finished them on their hardest difficulty before venturing online. Practice makes perfect and iv'e also found that I am better playing a game on certain platforms so give that a try in the future

Dude I don't know how many past Gf's iv'e tried to get to sit down and have a jam on the console with me , so count yourself lucky you have one that will play, just don't let her get to addicted that she doesn't put out lol
