October 2017 Game Release Schedule

October 2017 Game Release Schedule

October officially brings us into the last quarter of the year, meaning you can expect to see a bunch of AAA games on the horizon.

It wouldn’t be the spookiest month of the year without a proper horror game, and that’s just what The Evil Within 2 delivers. If you’re holding out for something a little more action heavy, Middle-earth: Shadow of War releases in the same week.

For a more in-depth look at upcoming games – including some we may have missed – make sure to check our supplemental “Releasing This Week” article every Monday. For an overview of the year, check out the 2017 Game Release Schedule, which we'll periodically be updating.

Note: While this list is intended to be as comprehensive as possible, it is difficult to cover everything, especially with the growing prominence of downloadable and indie games. The dates of some releases can also shift around. If you notice anything that's missing, please let us know in the comments, or by emailing news@nzgamer.com.

Wow that's an epic month! This year has been epic! South Park and Assassin's Creed for me with Wolfenstein at some later stage.
Also would love Mario Odyssey but that would require a Switch purchase so will have to wait.

What a line up! Battle Chasers I hadn't heard of, but it looks like something I could get into. Much like the rest. WB can keep Shadows of Wallet/Dollars of War though.
