September 2017 Game Release Schedule

September 2017 Game Release Schedule

September is going to be busy! If you’re looking for batches of new games to keep you occupied as we work our way towards spring, then you’ll be covered.

Starting the month is the PlayStation exclusive platformer Knack 2. Brought to you by Mark Cerny – the architect of the PS4, and long-time platforming developer – the game also features co-op. If shooting things is more your speed, then Destiny 2 will finally be hitting console.

For a more in-depth look at upcoming games – including some we may have missed – make sure to check our supplemental “Releasing This Week” article every Monday. For an overview of the year, check out the 2017 Game Release Schedule, which we'll periodically be updating.

Note: While this list is intended to be as comprehensive as possible, it is difficult to cover everything, especially with the growing prominence of downloadable and indie games. The dates of some releases can also shift around. If you notice anything that's missing, please let us know in the comments, or by emailing news@nzgamer.com.

Control is everything in a football game, and PES 2018 retains the immediacy and total control the series is famed for alongside new refinements that hone its authenticity. Matches are played at a more realistic pace, while a new strategic dribbling system offers greater close control, including contextual shielding to protect the ball. Similarly, simple movements of the control stick can be used to initiate shimmies designed to wrong-foot defenders. KONAMI has also implemented a REAL Touch + process, wherein players will react to receiving a ball using permissible parts of the body, such as chest, head and legs to bring a pass under control dependent on the height and pace of the incoming ball. All set piece routines have also been totally reworked, notably the way penalty kicks are taken and a one-player kick off routine as well.

Lots of sports games this month. Personally I'm looking forward to Dishonored.

Missed a few though. Lego Worlds comes out on the switch on the 6th. Monster Hunter Stories gets a Western release on the 9th. Fallout 4 GOTY is out on the 26th. Plus the Ultimate edition of Forza 7 releases on the 29th.

Damn that is a crazy good lineup for the month. Easily enough there that you'd need to game it fulltime.
Only Destiny 2 for me, but about 3-4 others Ill be putting on the wishlist/playlist for future.

Well on console anyway. Not til October for PC which is what I'm keen on. Have to say that 60fps is definitely worth the wait!

Keen on Project CARS 2, still undecided on Destiny 2. I might wait for the hype to subside a bit on this and see what we really get...
