July 2017 Game Release Schedule

July 2017 Game Release Schedule

E3 is behind us, and while there are a slew of new games on the distant horizon, July still has some surprises up its sleeve!

Leading the charge is Splatoon 2, the colourful shooter from Nintendo, which has players duke it out for control of a map by coating it in as much paint as possible. If you’ve been looking for something new to try on your Switch, and enjoyed the first game, this should be right up your alley.

If you missed Final Fantasy XII when it launched back for the PlayStation 2 in 2006, then this HD remaster might be the perfect thing to whittle away those winter weekends. The game features expanded customisation systems, and a plot focused on political intrigue.

For a more in-depth look at upcoming games – including some we may have missed – make sure to check our supplemental “Releasing This Week” article every Monday. For an overview of the year, check out the 2017 Game Release Schedule, which we'll periodically be updating.

Note: While this list is intended to be as comprehensive as possible, it is difficult to cover everything, especially with the growing prominence of downloadable and indie games. The dates of some releases can also shift around. If you notice anything that's missing, please let us know in the comments, or by emailing news@nzgamer.com.

Valkyria Revolution was a mistake.
I'm happy Keith didn't add it on here. Even I'm not sure if I'm meant to play it for the name/collection, or be offended.

But Keith is smart, and wouldn't include a game that's coming out in June, on a July list.
Be like Keith.

Tokyo 42 looks interesting, a brighter flashier Syndicate perhaps??

Rugby League 4, lol. If only the NRL, Cricket, and Union had the following of the EA type titles to get that level of polish *sighs*...
