March 2017 Game Release Schedule

March 2017 Game Release Schedule

Typically the first quarter of the year is quiet on the gaming front, with most publishers banking their releases for the holiday season. That isn’t the case in 2017, with March shaping up to be one of the busiest months on the gaming calendar. Thankfully, we’ve organised some of the biggest upcoming releases into one handy article. Remember, you’ll also get VIP points for following games – so make sure to add these ones too!

Right at the top we’ll see the launch of Horizon Zero Dawn, PlayStation’s open-world action game set in a post-post apocalypse. If you’re more of a Nintendo fan, then the company’s latest system is slated to launch on March 3 – accompanied by a brand-new Legend of Zelda. If you're looking for something with a sci-fi bent, Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to release later in the month.

For a more in-depth look at upcoming games – including some we may have missed – make sure to check our supplemental “Releasing This Week” article every Monday. For an overview of the year, check out the 2017 Game Release Schedule, which we'll periodically be updating.

Note: While this list is intended to be as comprehensive as possible, it is difficult to cover everything, especially with the growing prominence of downloadable and indie games. The dates of some releases can also shift around. If you notice anything that's missing, please let us know in the comments, or by emailing news@nzgamer.com.

Mass Effect is a definite for me! Horizon Zero Dawn is a strong maybe. Tom Clancy was the only other to tempt me, will give the open beta a go this weekend and see if it can sway me. In some ways, I hope it doesn't though! My bank account won't be happy!

Super keen on Horizon Zero Dawn (terrible name though, what did they do, throw darts at board?) And Mass Effect. Especially since I just found out Natalie dormer is in ME:A. I am quite interested in the Kingdom Hearts reboot though. But I'll likely pick it up on sale. No idea how I'm gonna pay for my nomad edition on mass effect though. Whoops.

I'm still upset that it's not marketed as Truckasaurus: The Video Game.

And the Japan release of Blue Reflection....

Like most, Horizon Zero Dawn and Mass Effect are a definite. I’ll probably get Wildlands (I refuse to call it Ghost Recon), down the track when it’s $60

It's a shame most of the games I'm going to play this year are released within one month of each other? Good problem to have I guess. [Horizon, Zelda and Mass Effect]

I always used to sell it as 'tribal warrior woman takes down giant robot dinosaurs' but I think your one might be easier to say.
