The 20 price difference between current gen and past gen at eb is ridiculous. where else in the world does that? No where!

Now this is a great initiative. However it should only include the lowest prices otherwise it can be a bit misleading. For instance why mention Killzone SF for $99 at DSE when a few lines down it's $80 at JB Hifi? In fact it's been $80 at EB and MightyApe since launch.

Another note, keep an eye on PSN sales. Over the last 6 months or so they've completely obliterated any of these retail sales, I've been buying games for $6-10 that in store still cost $50-90.

Very handy but if I was allowed one suggestion it would be to group the items by console/device first rather than by store e.g.:
Xbox One
- Zoo Tycoon - $79 at The Warehouse
- Controller - $75 at Noel Leeming, $79 at d*ck Smith and The Warehouse
- etc...

I'm pretty sure they would (probably not a $20 price difference though). The games cost anywhere from $10 to upgrade to the PS4 for the digital edition, anyway.

I'm gutted! Went to buy 2k14 today at EB ask at the counter if it was on special and they said it wasn't so I assumed it was an online price only so I was going to buy it at home. Check on the bus and it still said $58 now I go online to buy it and it's original price ;(

I just bought Thief 4 for $67 and Tomb Raider for $63 from WOWHD NZ, both on PS4.

They have a 20% off all week and often have sales Games can take a little while to arrive though, as they come from offshore.

The main point I'd make is that www.nzgameshop.com is usually way cheaper than all local retailers, including Mighty Ape - for example, at the moment they are doing GT6 for $54.99 delivered, compared to $118 at EB and $99 at The Warehouse.

This article's about retailers, though - specifically those based in New Zealand (nzgameshop operates out of the UK IIRC). If you're a fan of that site, though, I suggest you switch to ozgameshop at least for the time being, as our strong dollar makes it far cheaper than even nzgameshop (I recently ordered a game from OZ over NZ and saved $20 - pretty sure it will be the same game, out of the same box, sent by the same person lol)

Yes, I think so. I'm not expecting delivery on release day.

I do usually buy from nz retailers, but I just can't afford to pay the PS4 prices and the console is beginning to gather dust a little.

I appreciate that it is an offshore site. I'm just saying that the savings there (or ozgameshop, which is essentially the same site) seem to consistently dwarf anything you will see from local retail. Typical delivery time is about 4-5 working days which is fine. Any game I don't feel I need to buy on day one comes from there - those I must have on release day come from mighty ape...I can't remember the last time I bought a game at a brick and mortar store.

Online retailers like Mighty Ape and WOWHD have some pretty good prices and constant sales too :)
