Super Mario Galaxy

I have played all those must play games: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Bros, Tetris, Civilisations, Soul Caliber, Super Metroid, Mario 64 etcetera but I think Galaxy may triumph these.

The meticulous effort that was put into this game astounds me. The graphics remind me of why video games are so popular today, while the gameplay reminds me why I play video games. The bare concept of using different worlds and different gravities is an idea that is so simple it mesmorizes me that it could be so brilliant. This rivals the post-it note. I can't remember the last time I entered a level and a joy rippled through my body like what happens most times when I enter a new Galaxy.

This is partly due to the sound. Not since Ocarina of Time have I even cared what I'm hearing but Galaxy has brought that level of video games back to me. It has been a long time since a video game tune gets stuck in my head.The lack of voice acting slightly disappoints.

The length of the game to sixty stars is my biggest disappointment to this game even though I enjoyed every second of it. I believe they stick to the formula of 3 hit boss battles too much and the game suffers. But on the other hand the quest to the 120 stars is a quest that no everday casual gamer can do.

Few words describe Galaxy; Masterpiece, Epic, Spectacular.
Galaxy is an experience that must be shared by every gamer,young and old, because its out of this world. (I'm sorry, I had to)

The culmination of 4 years work delievers a perfect presentation.

Almost the best the wii can do. Slight frame rate issues while doing bomb game.

Breathtaking score almost completely negates bad voice acting

I wanted so much to give this a 10 but the camera often disappoints

I can see my grandchildren playing my copy.

My real score is 9.9 but this score system won't allow it
