Supreme Commander

For those of you that don't know what TA is, it was a RTS released in 1997 with 2 expansions and left gamers eagerly waiting the sequel. Well here it is! 10 years later.

The gameplay in Supreme Commander is extremely detailed, the one thing you have to remember when starting to play the game is don't overbuild, it could ultimately lead to your defeat. Supreme commander uses Energy and mass as resources. The more you build, the less your energy/mass income will be and if you get to far into the -negative it can get hard to get out of plus your buildings take twice as long to build if you're outta mass or energy. There are 3 factions to choose from, each having their own unique units, advantages and weaknesses and as you'd expect theres 3 campaigns. You're ACU(Amoured Command Unit) is you're primary unit in the game, it builds, it fights and if it dies expect a big booom!. Lands units aren't the only units you can create, you have the choice of air and if the map is right, sea units as well. Different units have different abilitys, some have invisibility, in which you'll need a radar system, and some are walking radars or shield generators!

The graphics in the game aren't great and aren't bad, there are some RTS's out there with way better graphics like CoH. Aside that, all the unit animations are different and unique and the enviromental effects like burning foliage or a giant spider bot crushing forests makes the game all that better. What truly makes the game strategically unique is its ability to zoom out very far, which is very useful on large maps.

Overall this a pretty sick game and i liked it. The big tactical scale, the zooming and the strategic thinking you have to do in this game make it awesome
