Well now many of you will be thinking 'oh no playstation fan boy' but i have my reasons for the seemingly low score of Halo 3.
First of all its been about a year and 4months since its release and now on the verge of halo wars. Halo 3 lived up to its pre-hype with 'stunning' reviews.
However, (da da dum) the only thing that has lasted is its online play which i admit keeps me entertained for a large period of time mocking people over XBL great times! But then theres the other half the story. Halo 3 brought very little IMO to the Gameplay and action-e-ness of Halo 2 even possibly Halo:CE. Those familar with the series will ponder why change a true and tested gameplay? my answer is come on...
Like another review i read on NZgamer "it just didnt do it for me" is exactly my evaluation of the story. The one thing Halo 3 trives at is online play and multiplayer matches great fun with friends, epic levels and seemless ease.
What the multiplayer lacks is Bots (aww have a cry) This takes up alot of room on the DVD hence not implemented. It's basicly an online game, ask anyone who has it. They played the story through once or twice for the gamescore and the next week after its released only played online and thats exactly how it should be. Online = Fun spartaning people sniping all that Jazz and Halo Wars (the next in the series) seems to show that MS have learnt from this openinng up larger multiplayer games etc but this reviews about halo 3! so Yes singleplayer 6.5/10 multiplayer 9/10 graphics 8.5/10 price 7/10 (still over $80 MS you got platnium please??) You should buy it if you still dont got it as its the reason PS Fanboy a.k.a Me has an X360 giving the score 7.75/10
