Electronic Arts has announced that the latest edition of ever popular Madden series has gone gold. Madden NFL 2005 is due to hit stores in the US on August 12th, will be available on all 3 console formats and the GBA. This date is set nearly 3 weeks after EA's closest competitor ESPN's NFL 2K5 is released.
Despite the stiff challenge from the much improved ESPN's NFL 2K5, this years edition of Madden franchise will contain several new features. Some of the game's new features include online play for Xbox, all new defensive preplay controls, improved A.I defence, and all new Hit Stick, which allows defensive players to make powerful, game-altering tackles.
