The Xbox 360 version of Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed III will come on two disks, the developer has confirmed to NZGamer.com.
Philippe Bergeron, Mission Director on the game, stated "This time around, we're cracking at the seams. We have two disks on Xbox." The separation is made around the number of players; the singleplayer game uses one disk, while the multiplayer game requires the other.
With a capacity of 4.5-9GB, the Xbox 360's DVD media is capable of storing much less game information that the PlayStation 3's 25-50GB Blu-Ray or the Wii U's 25GB proprietary media. Phillipe did not confirm if the PC version, which will likely ship in its physical form on DVD, will also be on multiple disks.
Assassin's Creed III is releasing on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 31st; the PC version releases November 22nd, and the Wii U version launches alongside the console itself on November 30th.
