Torchlight II Launches September 20th

Runic Games have announced on their forums this afternoon that Torchlight II will release on Thursday, September 20th. Sequel to the 2009 original, the action RPG sticks closely to the mould created by Blizzard's Diablo franchise, with a number of unique enhancements and a lighter tone setting it apart.

In addition to the randomly generated dungeon system of the first game, Torchlight II adds overland areas (with their own hub towns), time of day effects, weather, and customizable characters. The game supports online and offline play, as well as peer-to-peer multiplayer and LANs.
