Pre-Expansion Patch Released for World of Warcraft

Blizzard have released the latest patch for World of Warcraft today, paving the way for the September 25th release of the game's next expansion. Patch 5.04 makes many changes to the core of the experience, as well as introducing new content and laying the groundwork for Mists of Pandaria's release in four weeks time.

Some of the changes include:

• Account-wide Achievements, pets, and mounts
• World Event: Attack on Theramore Isle
• AOE Looting
• BattleTag support in World of Warcraft
• Cross-Realm Zones
• New talent system
