Another big set of releases this week, with new games, an updated port, and some new hardware from Nintendo all competing for your hard-earned spending money.
PC users finally get to have a crack at the rock-hard Dark Souls, with the "prepare to die" edition coming to that platform just shy of a year after it launched on Xbox 360 and PS3. This special edition comes with some brand new content, too, but if you're holding out to play it on consoles, the Artorias of the Abyss levels will be released as DLC for your platform later this year.
Nintendo's latest handheld had a rocky start but, since its release in early 2011, the plucky 3D-without-glasses device has gone on to secure a solid install base and sells well in all territories. Nintendo are hoping to boost things further with this week's release of a larger, "deluxe" version of the handheld, which increases the screens sizes by a whopping 90%; a bargain, given it's priced at around $329 (about the same price as the smaller version).
