Bloodforge No Longer Coming to NZ

Bloodforge, a gory action game originally planned for release on Xbox 360 as part of the Arcade Next promotion, did not materialize on the planned April 25th release date.

In May, Microsoft confirmed that they were still committed to bringing the game out in New Zealand.

This morning, however, we received word that the game is no longer planned for release in this territory, by way of an official statement from Microsoft:

Subsequent to reviewing the NZ certification requirements, we regret to advise that ‘Bloodforge’ will not be available on Xbox LIVE in New Zealand. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and remain committed to delivering great titles on Xbox LIVE Arcade including the recently launched Winter of Arcade series featuring Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD and Wreckateer.

The game received generally poor reviews, garnering just 42/100 on Metacritic (an average made up of review scores from 44 publications).
