PlayStation Plus subscribers can now download both Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light and Saints Row 2 for free, as a part of the "Instant Game Collection" part of the service.

Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light, a fresh, third-person take on the Tomb Raider universe, focused on co-operative multiplayer gaming and action combat, with some clever puzzles thrown in. We gave it 8.0 when we reviewed it back in 2010, saying that it had "Fantastic level design and tons of collectables".

Saints Row 2, meanwhile, continued its light-hearted and often gross open-world alternative to Grand Theft Auto's grittiness to great effect, achieving a whopping 9.0 right here on NZGamer.com. Angus, who was effusive in his praise, stated "There is so much crammed into Saint’s Row 2 (if you have a juvenile, slightly insane creative side to you) that you will seldom be at a loss for something to do."

Additionally, today's PlayStation Blog update pointed out that August 1st, the day the next "Game of the Month" joins the Instant Game Collection lineup, will also mark the end of Deus Ex: Human Revolution's availability as a free title for subscribers. If you're a member, and keen on Deus Ex, be sure to download it before then.

Not to hog up the comments section, but just wanted to mention that according to Playstation Blog EU, the DLCs for both games will also be 50% off for psn+ members for a couple of weeks.

These are two wicked games I've been meaning to play for a long time and now there "free" I'll finally get round to them.

My PS+ membership is such great value that I'm really starting to resent the monthly payment I making for my Gold Membership on Live, especially given the less than meagre offerings with the so called "weekly deals" that lately have been only discounted add ons to full price games.

Come on M$ give us some decent return for our buck or player's such as myself are likely to cancel our subs.

Not gonna argue, I'm LOVING PS+. It's such staggeringly good value for money, it shocks me.

It does make you think about what's been offered to XBL subs vs. PlayStation Plus.
