Bethesda have announced the New Zealand release date for Doom 3 BFG Edition, the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC remake of the PC and Xbox original. The game, which includes re-mastered versions of both Doom 3 and the Resurrection of Evil expansion pack, will be available here from October 18th this year.
In addition to the original content, the bundle includes seven new levels of content called "The Lost Mission", as well as support for modern gaming tropes like Achievements, Trophies, check-point saving and tuned controls. It also packs in versions of both Doom 1 and Doom 2, marking the first time either of those titles (or any version of Doom, for that matter) has been available on PlayStation 3.

Although the PS1 versions of Doom have been playable on PS3 from day one. Not trying to nit pick :)
