An employee of Blockbuster (a video rental chain) in the UK has provided photos that purportedly list the software that will launch alongside the Nintendo Wii U later this year, according to a report on GoNintendo.

The images, which appear to show Blockbuster's point-of-sale system, list some 25 games - several of which are either unknown or previously only rumoured to exist.

The games shown:

  • Aliens: Colonial Marines
  • Assassin's Creed
  • Batman Arkham City
  • Darksiders II
  • Dirt 3
  • Formula 1 All Stars
  • Game Party
  • Ghost Recon Online
  • Just Dance 4
  • Killer Freaks From Outer Space
  • Marvel Super Heroes
  • Metro Last Light
  • Monsters Party
  • New Super Mario Brothers Mii
  • Ninja Gaiden 3
  • Pikmin
  • Rabbids Party Land
  • Raving Rabbids
  • Rayman Legends
  • Shield Pose
  • Splinter Cell 6
  • Sports Connection
  • Tekken
  • Your Shape 2013
  • Zombie

Rayman Legends, as pointed out by Xenojay on the forums, certainly seems to exist - if this leaked video is anything to go by. As for the rest of the list? It's a pre-E3 rumour, so treat it like it deserves; with a pinch of salt.

Not bad, but i know for FACT that Nintendo will release a game free with the console (Reggie Fils-Aime said this was key to the sucsess of the Wii launch) so it makes sense that they do it again with most probably: Chase Mii, Shield Pose and the demo games from E3 last year.
As for the games list above I'd say Nintendo still has secrets up it's sleeve, Pikmin and NSMB mii are the only first party games on the list, and Miyamoto said they won't make the same mistake with the WiiU as they did with the 3DS launch, so expect more game annoucements come June 5TH at E3 2012.

Plus in a recent interview with Reggie Fils-aime, he said we have only been shown about 10% worth of what their new console can do, and with that note I'm expecting big things come E3.

Hmmm...I've been wondering if I will get one on release, and the more I see the release coming to fruition, the more I'm temped to just to see how it turns out.

I'll buy the console, but there's very little on there that makes me excited.

I believe the Zombies game is Epic Games Zombie Defence game, I could be wrong but E3 will tell.
