Releasing This Week (Mortal Kombat)

There's not much coming out this week, but what is releasing is definitely interesting. First up, we have the hotly anticipated release of last year's Mortal Kombat on the very this year PlayStation Vita. If you like the idea of taking time out from a family dinner to beat the crap out of someone, and can't be bothered lugging your console over to your folk's place, MK is shaping up to be an excellent way to get that fix without risking going to jail.

Another interesting game that should be in shops by Friday is Risen 2, the pirate-themed action RPG sequel to the well received 2009 original. If you're keen to play this one on consoles (including the PS3, for the first time in the history of the franchise), you'll need to wait until August. PC gamers can jump in this week (it's already available on Steam, where it will set you back about $61 plus download costs).
