After all the hype, the PlayStation Vita finally launched outside of Japan last week. How'd it go at retail? The first set of sales results are from the UK, courtesy of gamesindustry.biz and Chart Track:
- 79% of console sales were of the Wi-Fi version
- Uncharted: Golden Abyss was the number one selling game on the platform, and the number one selling game in that territory overall
- FIFA Football secured second place, both on the platform and overall
While only two other games made the overall top 20 (Rayman Origins at #5 and Wipeout 2048 at #11), it should be noted that these numbers are only for retail sales and don't include any games sold via the PlayStation Store, which is a big part of the Vita's strategy.
Specific numbers (in terms of units sold) were not detailed.
