Wii U Confirmed For 2012

Satoru Iwata, President of Nintendo, has confirmed that the Wii U (announced at E3 last year) is definitely coming this year. Not only that, but he's confirmed that it's coming out in more territories than just Japan, as it will be available in time for Christmas in the United States, Europe, Australia, and Japan. Our assumption is that "Australia" includes New Zealand, however we're seeking confirmation from Nintendo - stay tuned.

The Wii U, if you missed our hands-on with the device, takes the Wii concept and expands on it with a funky new tablet-based controller and a heap more power under the hood. Since its unveiling in June last year, Nintendo has been somewhat quiet on the device, and they're expected to "re-launch" the console at E3 this year.

I'm betting big on this console, sure they fumbled E3 last year, but I sense there is more to this console then we know, and won't know untill E3 this year the punch line.

I don't think it will deliver, I know it will deliver!.

Thats what I thought with the Wii when I first saw it at E3, the first motion controller but then it didn't turn out as great as the PS3 and Xbox 360

The way I see it Nintendo made the wii as simple as possible, WHY? to make money and that is simply it, It was an average console with a handful of good games but it made nintendo alot of money, and that is what they wanted it to do.
so it served it's purpose and expanded the industry in more family orientated experiances, but they have spent alot of money on the wii U, using all the money from their stepping stone console, the wii.

I both love and hate the wii, but this console will be the real deal, they were genius in selling a gamecube with motion controls, and we all bought into it with our money so they could build a bigger, better and far more genuine experiance with the wii U.

I am not a nintendo fanboy, I love them but I also own 2 PS3's + 2 Xbox 360's and love and play them as well.
I just love gaming, and nintendos new console has me excited.
