Update: Despite the information provided by Warner Bros. this morning, the New Zealand release of Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will NOT include either the soundtrack (Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors) or Mortal Kombat, the movie.
There's no word on whether the local title will be revised to Mortal Kombat Not Kuite Komplete Edition
Original story follows,,,
Warner Bros. have announced a new version of last year's Mortal Kombat, which bundles together the game with the various bits of DLC that were released after its launch in April last year.
Mortal Kombat (2011) effectively rebooted the ultra-violent fighter, updating the mechanics and bringing the franchise much closer to what fans of modern fighting games (Street Fighter IV, etc) might expect. They did a great job of it, too, and the title was generally well received.
The Komplete Edition, which is planned for March, will also include music inspired by the game and a digital copy of the 1997 Mortal Kombat movie.
The bonus content included:
• Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, and Freddy Kreuger (downloadable fighters)
• Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors album with a bonus track
• 15 "Klassic" skins
• 3 "Klassic" fatalities (one each for characters Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Reptile)
• Mortal Kombat, the movie (downloadable)
Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is headed to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in early March.
