GameSpot are reporting that Konami has pulled the new Silent Scope project that was under way at developer Day 1 (F.E.A.R. 3, Fracture), resulting in large-scale layoffs at the company.
Approximately 100 people are allegedly looking for work as a result of this development. That doesn't mean the end for the team, however, who still have a "significantly smaller" team hard at work on a second project.
The company, which reportedly had some 140 employees prior to this situation, has not yet made any comment regarding the layoffs or the future of the ten-year-old studio.
