The weekend's Armageddon expo in Auckland is looking to have a larger focus on gaming than ever before, according to a press release we've received from the organizers.
We can tell they're serious, as they went to our own Aaron Scott for a quote (he's overseeing the Armageddon Gaming Zone) - “It’s going to be the biggest Armageddon for gaming ever, we’re looking at around ten pre-releases for some very cool titles,” says Scott. “With the gaming industry continually growing there’s definitely something for every gamer.”
As we pointed out earlier in the month, there is in fact a veritable host of game content on show this year, including a heap of stuff that either hasn't been released or is only just flexing its muscle at retail.
Many vendors are backing up their sales activity by adding a little extra to the show experience, such as the presence of Kevin Conroy (the voice of Batman) on the Warner Bros. stand, which is in support of the recent release of the outstanding Arkham City.
How can they fit it all in, we'll pretend to hear you ask? There's a simple solution, as Bill Geradts (the event organizer) explained, “Armageddon has just kept on growing and this year there’s so much going on we’ve extended the expo to four massive days.”
Here's the list of what is on display:

We were planning to attend, but with so many massive releases happening right now, we need to focus on getting through that stuff instead. If you do go along, be sure to let us know how you get on - send us your photos, too, and we'll run the best of them right here on the site!
