Releasing this week (BATMAN!!)

A huge week this week, and not just because of the (now familiar) massive number of releases. This particular week, you see, is the week that the ultra hotly anticipated Batman: Arkham City hits the shelves.

Sequel to the similarly titled Arkham Asylum, Arkham City takes the action into the streets of Gotham - part of which has been cordoned off into an outdoor prison to cope with the burgeoning population of super villains that are ever so attracted to Batman's home turf.

Expectations are running high for this one, which is currently in the hands of our studious review team - so look for our in-depth analysis on this first would-be "Game of the Year" contender shortly.

What else? A lot, quite simply - check out the list:

"Michael Phelps: Push the Limit" $99.99.

I didn't even know this game existed lol! Really, swimming games don't tend to translate well as video games.

Interesting price disparities between console and PC prices there. Batman and Sims 3 sort it out!

Lol yeah not sure why Arkham City is listed as $160 on PC. Also, wasn't the PC version delayed until sometime in November?

Oh you.
Pretty psyched for Batman myself.

The price tag on RnC: All 4 One is pretty steep isn't it? Considering it's basically a horrible stripped down version for beginners/kids of what was a pretty cool series.

Even though I bought two new releases over the past two weeks, I really, really have to find a way to buy Arkham City without getting in trouble from the missus.

I've actually heard good things about the game from the beta and previews. You can play the game alone (along with AI Clank) or play in combos of online and offline. I think its pretty sweet.

Yeah I'm not sure what you mean by stripped down either Kegz. Can you elaborate?

I'm a long time fan and for me what I've seen of this seems to be catered for people who are new to the series not the long time fans. The online multiplayer they had in RnC 3 was a good way to go but this co-op thing doesn't do it for me, at least for a day 1 buy like with the others.
