Australian-based L.A. Noire developer Team Bondi have gone into administration, according to Smart Company.
This caps off a rather controversial three months since L.A. Noire was released in May, with allegations of inappropriate developer crediting policies and mistreatment of employees among a myriad of dark tales to emerge in the wake of the game itself.
It's not clear whether "Administration" means that the studio's demise is certain, however further information in the original story (such as being told that no one will be available to handle media inquiries going forward) would seem to suggest the worst.
If this does prove to be the end of the studio, we'd like to wish the various people involved with the team the best of luck for the future - L.A. Noire was an ambitious game no matter how you slice it, and will no doubt have repercussions in future titles for years to come.
