The ever increasingly bizarre release date shenanigans surrounding Sidhe's new game continue this afternoon, with Mighty Ape announcing that they're shipping All Blacks Rugby Challenge right now, ahead of the September 2nd release date that was announced just yesterday.
According to Mighty Ape's latest email about the game, the release date has been brought forward a week - they don't explain why, however we asked that exact question to Sidhe and managing director Mario Wynands responded:
“We aren’t really involved in the physical distribution of All Blacks Rugby Challenge, so the earlier release is a bit of surprise. But certainly a welcome one. We have been working on the game for a long time, and we are eager to get it into the hands of fans both locally and overseas, so shipping earlier than expected is great.”
We also checked in with both JB Hi-Fi and EB Games, who confirmed that while their stocks haven't arrived in-store yet, they anticipate being able to get the game into the hands of their customers from around 2pm tomorrow afternoon.
Cheers to twisterjamz & Ninja-15 for the tip!
