Ghost Recon 2 Cancelled For PC

In further Ubisoft news, their official website has posted news stating that Ghost Recon 2 for the PC has been cancelled. However, this same post stated that Ghost Recon 3 will be released on the PC in summer of 2005/2006. Below is the explanation of the situation from their website.

"With the launch of Ghost Recon 3 planned for summer 2005/2006, significant human resources were needed to ensure the quality of the future instalment of the series, thus potentially jeopardising the quality of either Ghost Recon 2 PC or Ghost Recon 3. Taking into account their close release dates, and the fact that we felt the third opus would be a much more satisfying and evolved gaming experience, we were forced to conclude that it was in the interest of gamers for us to cancel the PC version of Ghost Recon 2."

Further investigation has also revealed this news to be true, as most website stores have indeed pulled pre-orders for the PC version of the game.
