Videogame artist stabbed

We kick off this week's roundup with some tragic news. Donald Barnes Jr., a former Luxoflux and EA Sports artist, was stabbed to death outside his home last week. According to reports, the incident occurred when Barnes tried to intervene in a fight between a man and a woman. Barnes had been in the industry since 1996, his credits include Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen The Game and Kung-fu Panda. Barnes (41) is survived by his 17-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son. “He was a great guy, very funny and happy, and it’s really sad his life was cut short like this. He’s a hero,” Barnes' daughter Maddie Barnes recalled. Maddie and her brother were in the house when their father was murdered, but only heard the fight. Police have arrested 23-year-old suspect Bikram Singh Otal.
