Microsoft and Epic Games (the developers behind Gears of War) have announced a Gears of War triple pack to get you psyched for the soon-to-be-released Gears of War 3. Don't get too excited, though, as this confusingly-titled bundle won't actually include Gears of War 3 (either in beta or in any other form). The pack consists of the first two Gears of War titles, along with the Road to Ruin campaign for Gears 2.

Epic also revealed that 38 multiplayer levels will be included. Although it won't include Gears of War Map Pack 1 or Hidden Fronts Map Pack, according to Destructoid, both packs are available for free on Xbox Live.

Update

CVG reports, that the Gears of War Trilogy bundle is US-only bundle and won't be making it to PAL territories.

Damnit, you got my hopes up. Gears 1+2 is still cool, and the DLC cost sh*tloads by itself.

Seems a bit late to me. They should have released this ages ago when they planned on putting the All fronts DLC on a disc.

No one plays Gears 2 unless there is an exp event, and Gears one only has people from Russia or random place so the lag makes it unplayable.

May as well just buy Gears 3 and get a bit of fresh Chainsaw-to-Chainsaw combat in.

How is this a 'trilogy' then? 2games + DLC/expansion is not a trilogy
