Guns 'N' Roses Lead Sues Activision

Guns 'N' Roses lead, Axl Rose is suing Activision for 20mil over Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

The singer says he had an agreement with the Guitar Hero publisher to allow his band's classic "Welcome to The Jungle" to be in the game, under the condition that former GNR Guitarist Slash wasn't.

However, upon release Slash's likeness was in-game and on the cover art. Given their blatant deal violation, Activision took measures to prevent this seemingly inevitable lawsuit the singer said, "Activision engaged in negotiations with Guns N' Roses' manager... in a calculated effort to forestall or prevent a lawsuit"

Activision failed to dodge the suit, as Radar Online reports Rose has filed a USD$20 million breach of contract suit against Activision for "wrongfully acquired profits."

It's strange that it took Rose this long to notice, given that in addition to appearing in-game - breaching the conditions of the deal - Slash is in the center of the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock box art.

Geez Axl has turned out(remained)to be a really pathetic childish moronic idiot. I remember him accusing former GNR drummer Steven Adler of having "ambulance chasing lawyers" a while back, I guess that was when he thought Chinese Democracy still stood a chance of lining his coffers, but instead when it didn't, seems he employed Adler's lawyers.

Screw you guys, if the agreement exists then he has every right to go after them. As if any of you wouldn't do the same.
