Gran Turismo 5 has been delayed again and Producer Taku Imasaki is quite sorry. The delay was announced via the PlayStation blog, along with a localized version released by Sony NZ.
"We are sorry to say that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available on the previously announced release date of November 4th, but the game will be released before Christmas. We sincerely apologise to GT fans for the delay, however creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating a racing experience of the highest quality." Imasaki said, explaining that Polyphony Digital wants GT5 to exceed expectations. "We are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches later this year. We'll have more information for you in the near future."
Not a long delay, given the title has been in production for four years. Keep it locked on NZGamer.com for more information as it's announced.

Not surprised really. But im sure it will be out before xmas for the big xmas sales, and it will be a big seller, if not a big console seller too.

I'm lost for words, was starting to get worked up about release even booked a weeks leave. Man this sucks....
Oh gosh.
I don't mind because I have heaps of sh*t to do in the mean time but damn are the fans who had their minds set on the November release are gonna' be disappointed (& pissed) !

They better get this out soon cos if Duke Nukem Forever releases before GT5 it will cause a major rift in the space-time continuum?!
No biggie, out before Xmas, so that's only like another month or so delay...
Ok yeah we can wait (certainly getting used to it with this game :P) But why the hell make an official release date when they clearly cant stick to it? Causes a lot less trouble if they say late 2010 then when they "really" know, make a date!!

This is seriously has to be a joke, I have just been getting some serious practice laps in having reinstalled GT5 Prologue ( I have a 40 GB and the 8GB install is a big space eater) and even purchased GT for PSP to get some cars to transfer to my GT5 garage on launch day.
I am beginning to wonder if the team at Polyphony have outdone themselves and created a monster that the PS3 really can't run cope with, they've made lotsa a big claims about this and now every single time we get within sight of a release they postpone.
Perhaps GT5 may end up being a PS5 launch title( tongue in cheek but kinda scared the truth may be in my jest).

Its a shame, but at least its only going to be a 4 week delay at the most.
Oh yeah and whilst I'm ranting, the release date of 2nd November cannot really have been set in concrete for quite some time as the game would have to have gone gold (discs get the game stuck on them) by now in order to have been distributed and in stores on time.
I can imagine Kazunori Yamauchi has been lying awake tossing and turning for weeks now with the thoughts "how do I tell them" spinning around his head. Unfortunately he just came up with the same line he has for the last 2 years.
