Castlevania LoS Features Save Erasing Glitch

A bug has been discovered in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. It affects both versions, as a few PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users over at PlayStation Universe, Gamespot and Gamefaqs have posted complaints about the glitch, which erases your save game.

It's called the Unhandled Error and kindly informs the user their save is about to be wiped with the lovingly put together message, "save file corrupt, will now overwrite, press X to continue".

That's potentially hours of gameplay down the drain. The problem is that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow only allows for one save file per play, so there's no second save to full back on.

For now the only solution is to back up your saved game to a usb drive.

This reminds me of the time my brother used only one save block on GTA San Andreas. He had only two or three more missions to do until he finished the game. But the saved data corrupted on him and he had to play the game all the way from the beginning.

Anyway, he was gutted and I'm sure these poor people that played Castlevania will be gutted too!

What a game breaker, so many good games to play at the moment, if this happened to me I'd Can Castlevania. I'll be putting playing it off until this is patched.

Man that would be a heart breaker. At least this things no 60-100hr RPG lol
What I dont understand is how a bug like this gets through? Games are surely tested to the max and go through quality assurance? or the name u see in the credits just there to make up numbers? Unless this is a super rare bug? affecting only a small population?

@ Spawnslayseek I agree it amazes me how often bugs like this are getting through, QA credits are looooonnggg what do these people actually do? As you say it's not a big RPG style game so it's even more amazing it got thru, surely this should have been spotted by someone? Unless of course it's an ultra rare occurrence, anyone playing this had an issue?
