As mentioned on Friday, Quantic Dream, the creators of Heavy Rain were hard at work developing Move support for the game. It has now been confirmed via the official Playstation blog that the availability of this function will be released on 22nd of September. Playstation Move will be released just under a week before, giving those early adopters an opportunity to test out the capabilities of the Playstation Move on a high quality blockbuster game. Sony says that with this added function “players can become completely immersed in the search for the Origami Killer through controls that mimic real-world motions.”
The Move function will be made available through an automatic download of a patch. This patch will be at no cost giving those avid Heavy Rain fans an excuse to further the life of the game “This free patch will allow current owners of Heavy Rain to play the game with the new PlayStation Move controls and experience a whole new way of playing Heavy Rain.”
For those that may not have a copy of the game and is unsure whether it will be for them, a demo will be made available for download on the 28th of September through the Playstation Store. The demo too will be made available free of charge and “features two of the early levels from the game, Sleazy Place and Crime Scene, and is fully playable with the PlayStation Move”
