Namco Bandai confirmed to Play.TM that Noby Noby Boy and Katamari creator, Keita Takahashi has left the company. Although no explanation was given, there were signs the developer was a little unsettled. Last month Takahashi said 3D "didn't spark my interest" and motion control was "a bit old now."

During his time with Namco, Takahashi developed the popular Katamari Damacy and We love Katamari for PS2. Last year's Noby Noby Boy was his last title on a major platform.
While his first title never saw a New Zealand release, the sequel We Love Katamari scored a solid 8.0.
In an interview with The Setup, Takahashi said that he is currently "participating in a project to re-design an old park in Nottingham, UK."

Yeah, would like to see a Noby Noby Girl title.
Every media and art form alike needs their eccentric creative types that push boundaries and keep things interesting. Keita Takahashi certainly filled that roll for a while!
