Australian Kinect Release Date Announced

Microsoft has announced the Australian release date for their Kinect motion controller, along with several other details. Kinect will be released in Australia on November 18th for AU$199.00 (RRP).

This Xbox 360 bundle will be available for AU$449.00:

• The all new Xbox 360 4GB console
• Kinect sensor
• Kinect Adventures game

The local prices were previously confirmed at $229 for Kinect with Kinect Adventures and $499 for the bundle.

15 titles will be available at launch. That's the same amount as the Xbox 360 had at its Australian launch.

No date has been set for the New Zealand launch yet, however it's a fair bet Kinect will launch around the same time it hits Australian stores.

At $220 NZD+ it better work well, you can pick up a second hand Wii for only a little for than that if you really need motion control. Not dising the Kinetic as I'm all for innovation, it's just a whole lotta money to fork out is all.
