2K Games has announced the Borderlands: Game of the Year edition. This latest edition will come with tokens for upcoming add-on pack, Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution, along with the previously released packs, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. The GOTY edition will also include a map of the Borderlands territories.

If you've already got the original version you can still grab the add-on packs separately on the Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points and on the PlayStation Network and PC for $12.95

Borderlands: Game of the Year will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 12.

By not including the extras on actual physical media, they have completely missed the entire point of the 'GOTY Edition' concept, as started by pretty much every other top-selling game. I was looking forward to this when I heard the rumours, but now that they've copped out with these Tokens, I won't bother. Great work Gearbox.

The article is very vague. In actual fact there is only a token for Claptrap's robot revolution, it hasnt been released, the other 3 dlc are included on the disc. It isnt perfect but better than nothing

That's funny, it said nothing about those DLC packs being included on disc in the release.

"Borderlands Game of the Year edition will come with tokens for download of the recently announced add-on pack, Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution, as well as the three previous best-selling destructive downloadable adventures - the living dead-filled The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, the ultimate video game survival of the fittest test Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, and the utterly fantastic The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. Also included, will be a complete and comprehensive map of the Borderlands territories."

Im thinking like $90, normally the GOTY is the same price as the original game. Sometimes thats why its best to wait for these and buy them, thats what i did with Fallout3 GOTY, saved like $100+ getting it instead of buying all of it as it came out.

You did kinda. But eh, you'd expect them to put the previous packs on-disc. It's all good.
