Red Storm Hit With Layoffs

Ghost Recon developer Red Storm has let go 38 employees in a "realignment of production priorities," a Red Storm rep told Kotaku. Indicating the studio will be dedicated to multiplayer development, while someone else handles the single player campaign. The Red Storm rep added that cut staff have "the opportunity to consider positions in other Ubisoft studios."



A Ubisoft spokesperson explained the cuts, confirming Red Storm's new dedication to multiplayer development, "The decision was part of a plan to allow the studio to focus on its core expertise: developing innovative multiplayer experiences."
