Activision is taking a hands off approach in Infinity Ward's rebuilding. Talking to develop, Activision's Worldwide Studios head, Dave Stohl said publisher is “supporting Infinity Ward in that rebuilding process, [but] I use the term ‘support’ because as much as possible we don’t want to tamper with that group of people.”

Explaining that Infinity Ward needs to grow on its own, “We want Infinity Ward to be Infinity Ward. It’s a very specific culture”.
After the Jason West and Vince Zampella firings, a few others left too, possibly due to the unceremonious manner in which the two were fired. The former Infinity Ward staff founded Respawn, aligning themselves with rival publisher Electronic Arts. Respawn has yet to announce a title.
