Nintendo Skipping GamesCom, Sony & MS Still on

Gamescom is a couple of weeks away. It's the next big event on the gaming calendar before Tokyo Games Show. VG247 reports that Nintendo is giving it a miss - likely because they made their big announcements at E3. Fear not though, because Sony and Microsoft are still on for press conferences.

Last year's event saw the announcement of the rumoured PlayStation 3 Slim. This year most of the rumors, such as Microsoft's Xbox 360 S, were covered at E3.

On the Sony front, it has also been pretty quiet outside of the on-going PlayStation Portable 2 rumours. However, with 3DS looming around the corner this would be an ideal time to announce the rumoured handheld.
