Sidhe today tweeted that their block smashing PlayStation Store and Steam title, Shatter, will be a launch title for the upcoming cloud gaming service, On Live.

“We are very pleased to be part of the launch of OnLive with the inclusion of Shatter for the service," Mario Wynands, Managing Director, Sidhe Interactive told NZGamer.com "It is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a revolutionary service such as this to help reach new audiences and grow our company.”
As yet, OnLive doesn't have a launch date set for New Zealand.

I'd completely forgotten about Onlive tbh, amazing to hear Sidhe is a part of the new technology!
Nice. Good on you Sidhe. Also good to see the interest in Shatter is still going strong.

"OnLive recommends a wired 5 Mbps connection to the Internet"
Probably not much point having this service in NZ yet until we can get decent broadband connectivity. Even if we could get adequate performance, our draconian data caps would stop us enjoying the service too much.

OnLive seems to be getting good support from developers and publishers. It wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a viable platform in the future.

I sit at a constant 8Mbps, so it is easy possible. But as u said its the data caps in NZ that will kill it, till NZ ISPs sort themselves out and start matching overseas ISPs. When i lived in london >1yr ago, we had >10Mbps and unlimited datacap for 20quid/month ($50NZ) , so we are waaaay behind it here.
