Telltale Games today announced a multi-year, two-title videogame development deal with Universal. The developer has secured the rights to create video games based on two of Universal Pictures' Back to the Future and Jurassic Park franchises. The first game released under the agreement will be a Telltale Games "season" based on the Back to the Future films.
Judging by this trailer they will have the first title represented in some form at E3.
Watch their E3 teaser:
"Our partnership with Universal is an exciting next step in our continued growth as a mass-market games publisher and developer," said Dan Connors, CEO of Telltale Games. "We are all huge fans of both of these franchises. For Back to the Future and Jurassic Park we will leverage Telltale's expertise in story-telling and game design to deliver on the unique elements of each series with our goal being to create compelling cinematic adventures paying homage to each franchise."
Telltale will release more information on both game series at a later date.
For some reason, I'm hoping we move away from Marty, and on to another character on a crazy adventure with the Doc, with upgradable vehicles and missions involving finding clothes for the time period you're in!
Hope they don't screw it up. Prince Of Persia was a step in the right direction for Game-Movie adaptation. Hopefully we can see it in reverse. Because if they ruin either of them for me, I will write them a very ANGRY letter! With correct grammar and lots of exclamation marks!!!
