No PC Transformers: War for Cybertron For NZ

Published By: Morgan Bates   On: Tuesday 8 Jun 2010 10:25 AM

NZGamer.com recently received a copy of Activision's latest Australian release schedule, it included the release date for the PC version of Transformers: War for Cybertron.

However, none of the local stores had been taking pre-orders for it, so we asked the distributor.

Today NZGamer.com can confirm that there will be no PC version of Transformers: War For Cybertron released in New Zealand.

The Wii (under Cybertron Adventures), Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions are set for release on June 25th.

Thanks for the tip, Mr.Deflok!

Wonder why Activision is dropping the PC release for both games.

There's only one game and it's only NZ that's missing out.

Oh you were referring to Blur too. Didn't click to that at the time.

Yep, I'd assume the demand for a game like Blur & Transformers would be higher on the consoles.

PC gamers will just pirate it anyway, like every other game.

Load of bullsh*t, really. But I guess this has been happening for ages now with non triple A titles; sad to see the distinction go. NZ is just insignificant.

Thanks for following up on this for me (the community), Morgan. Looks like I'll be having a go on the PS3.

Ive been in inquiring with Activision & Total Interactive (local distributor) over the last month trying to get the PC version or at least a solid answer why if not being released here. Basically the short answer when you force a response out of them is "we dont care". Both parties where extremely arrogant and unhelpful even eventually just not replying.
However MightyApe have now imported copies!!!!! At least someone values local PC gamers
