Didnt play the first one, but heard it was very good. Might give this a rental just to see what all the carry-on is about. Not a mario fan, or a kiddy-looking game fan.

Its funny how people're calling it "challenging"
Thats only coz platormers died out for the main stream just under a decade ago and anything that doesn't involve shooting sh*t is now difficult for western audiences.

Looks like an improvements on the originals gameplay, which imo is quite an accomplishment. but wow, a direct sequel?
shows even Unlce N is feeling the pressure.
That, or miyamoto wants to build another solid gold mansion

Man why is it that the only good games on Wii are the ones that are exclusive? Wouldn't mind playing this and its predecessor but I certainly wouldn't buy a Wii.

Honestly...I wonder how long they'll drag out old Nintendo characters.

I mean sure I'm all for a good series...but I like new stuff as well...I don't want to see an Italian plumber that is more famous than Hitler over and over again.

Could be a reason to buy a Wii for many people.

Im terming it so by its graphical style. It does not depict anything to do with its gameplay.
Maybe because i first played mario and similar games before you were even born... and reminds what i played when i was a kid!
Maybe i should term it 'cartoon-looking', to not hurt your feelings as its obviously a soft spot :)
