In the upcoming June issue of GamePro features information for the release of Killzone 3.

Details are few and far between at this stage, but it's clear the game will feature Sony's new 3D technology.

In a recent behind closed doors session, the snow, rain and explosion effects in Killzone 3 as 'phenomenal in 3D'. No doubt further information will be forthcoming in this year’s upcoming E3 2010 event.

Killzone 3 will be the 4th game in the franchise history and is the follow up the smash hit Killzone 2, which scored a 9.4/10 from NZGamer.com.

Very, very interesting if they can pull off the 3D tech with such a big IP, it will be up to Xboc 360 to hit back with something. Being Reach isn't 3D, I can't think of a title they could do with 3D in the next 12-18mths.

Also a risk, I dont see a large part of the gaming community purchasing a 3D capable TV in the short-term.
People will still buy KZ3, but how many really will enjoy the 3d aspect?

Hell yeah mutha brutha!

3D will always be there, so if you get one later you can still enjoy it in 3D then, while early adopters can enjoy it now.

I don't know, 3D still seems gimmicky to me. Well it is a gimmick in a sense that you don't need it, didn't know you wanted it before they told you, and that they're using it to get more money.

I'd rather wait out on this 3D thing until they start getting it really good. Because the 3D that I've seen has come at a cost to image quality, and 3D movies that I've seen have made me feel a bit off and headachey.

Just not sure how long I can sit in front of a screen with those damn glasses?! ... I mean whilst Avatar was highly impressive, the old eyes definitely took a pounding! ... especially as KZ3 will have so much happening (on screen) at the same time. I think something like Heavy Rain would do well with the 3D treatment ...
